Creagh was a childhood basketball star who could have made it in the NBL.
Thankfully for St George Illawarra fans, he chose rugby league.
Creagh made his first grade debut with the Dragons in 2003, showing flashes of his potential and playing for the Junior Kangaroos.
He entered 2004 acknowledged as one of the game’s rising stars – and he didn’t disappoint.
The versatile teenager went on to play 23 first grade games as the Dragons qualified for the finals series.
A centre/winger when he made his first grade debut, Creagh spent time in the back row and rarely looked out of place.
At the end of the 2004 season, Creagh was again chosen in the Junior Kangaroos side to play against Papua New Guinea.
His speed, size and strength make him a prototypical back rower/centre while his basketball background comes in handy under the high ball.
Those skills won Creagh a place in the Tri-Nations squad for the 2005 Tri-Nations and Country Origin representation in 2006.
It won't end there either, with Creagh ready to spend the next decade plying his trade in the NRL.
